Toured up to Kendall Knob--got on a poor skin track that led basically straight up through tight trees with tricky navigating. Should have followed the Volken book and resisted the urge to go up--decent skiing up high. A small cornice had formed at the ridge top, and it didn't take much to make it collapse and fall off in a cohesive block. An indication that winds may have affected the upper slopes. Luckily, this evidence was not as present within the trees lower down.
